The Inverted Tower
I'm currently in love with a solo RPG system called Twelve Years. It's simple and stylish enough to make me pause this project.
Another RPG game?
I have been playing RPG games for a long time. Because of that, I always had some idea of a game I could call mine on the back burner. This is the current iteration of it.
The focus isn't to make a real game. I want to make a system that invokes the spirit of wonder I had when I was a kid playing RPGs. To do that, I want it to be abstract enough to leave much to the imagination.
Dungeon Crawler RPG Meets Ameritrash Boardgame sans the board part.
What makes it different?
- Can (and is expected to) be played solo, with minimum physical materials.
- Focus on mechanics and not on the setting. You can add the setting yourself.
- Very quick to start, very quick to play.
- Can be stopped and picked up anytime. Works well for us with kiddos.
